You are a CenterIM user? It’s perfect. I’m too. If you want to connect to gTalk with it, you need configure so:
Connect to Google Gtalk with centericq 0.4.21 or centerim 0.4.22 The correct configuration is: Server : talk.google.com:5223 Secured : yes Username : avelar@gmail.com Password : ******* Priority : 4 OpenPGP key: none The connection should be secured.

Hello FixXxeR i was wondering when the new version of idesk will be
out or if there is a cvs version i could look at i am currently
working on some tools for idesk like a
1. Control Center
2. Desktop Background Changer
3. A Left click menu to add desktop items( Only if you haven’t already
started working on one)
What i am doing is putting together a complete gtk2 desktop based on xfce4

ok. It’s great you have plans on idesk.
Your ideas are fine. But I have some comments:
1.- Control Center will be fine. But how you would programing it. with X11 or gtk2?
2.- Idesk 07.5 has support for Background changer (since 1 year). Background.* tags are the key.
3.- The new version 0.7.6, will have support for a menu. I’m working on it. I think, you wait for it. If you want you could be my beta tester.
Do you want to help me? I can put a SVN or CVS system. How do you see?
I have the plan to release my new version 0.7.6 in one month (perhaps).

I am using idesk for long time. It is wonderful. I am eagerly waiting for the next version of idesk 0.7.6 . I am expecting features like menu on rightclick and special icons for mounting included in this version. Can you please let me know when is the release of new idesk. Can I get it now from any CVS.

I’m also interested in working on iDesk. I’ve developed a few bash configuration scripts that should make setup a bit easier. I’d like to help develop those three items listed above. If you don’t mind, what tools (e.g. IDE) are you using to develop iDesk? I’d also like to set up a better web site for iDesk if this is possible. Perhaps we can start a group to work on it?
I’m running openbox and idesk on FC10 and seeing what I can best describe a strange refresh problem. About once a minute all my windows disappear and then after a few seconds reappear. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
